Mt. Fuji and Sea of Clouds

I live in Osaka on business and often go back to my home in Gunma Prefecture. It’s about 350 miles away. Because there is Mt. Fuji on the way, I see it from the parking on highway, and stay at the hotel and see it.I often stay at a hotel on a hill where I can see Lake Yamanaka and Mt. Fuji well. It may be cloudy and invisible at all, but this year we were able to see the sea of clouds over Lake Yamanaka and Mt. Fuji together.<click the picture, it links to jpg file> Images taken from (more…)

Kouchi Castle

One of popular Japanese sightseeing is Castle. Many of Japan’s castles that has traditional donjon were built after the end of 16th century. Busan in KORIA

I went to Korea for the first time.South Korea is Japan’s neighbor, but historically relations are tough.Busan can also go by boat from my wife’s hometown of Fukuoka.a coastline lined with modern apartment buildings.Korea can buy industrial materials from Japan under almost the same conditions as Japanese companies. Kure sunset cruse.

Sunset cruises are popular for sightseeing in Kure City.In the evening, they will go around explaining the Japan Self-Defense Force ships anchored at The Port of Kure.This is the escort ship Kaga that is scheduled to be aircraft carrier.Kaga is same length with old aircraft carrier Kaga in 2nd world war. Tetsu no Kujira(Iron Whale) museum

Iron whale means the Submarine. This museum is produced by Japan Defence Force Marine and it displays retired submarines. It’s in front of the Yamato Museum.The submarine AKISHIO is sitting at the intersection.Visitors can enter to this submarine inner. But it can’t take pictures.And in beside museum building we can learn JDFM(Japan Difence Force Marine) and KUre’s history.Japan Difence Force and Kure’s history.The Japan Self-Defense Force Marine has been dispatched overseas soon after World War II.
